Dock Construction at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri
Custom dock construction at Lake of the Ozarks. Galvanized steel floating docks with boat slips, integrated boat lifts, swim platforms, upper decks, and full electrical — built to handle the lake's demanding conditions.
Custom Floating Docks for Lake of the Ozarks
Almost every dock at Lake of the Ozarks is a galvanized-steel floating dock — fixed piers don't work here because of the 6-foot annual drawdown. We design and build floating docks of every size, from 2-well residential docks for sunrise-arm coves to large multi-slip docks for condo associations on the main channel.
Every build is engineered for your specific shoreline: water depth at full pool and drawdown, wake exposure, shore-pole anchor geometry, slip count, lift integration, roof and sundeck options, electrical service, and water supply. The boats keep getting bigger, so the docks keep getting heavier — modern LOTO docks are built five times heavier than docks from 15 years ago.
Ameren Permitting and Engineering
Every new dock at Lake of the Ozarks requires an Ameren Missouri permit before construction can begin. Dock area is capped at 2,000 square feet, with at least 200 feet between docks, and construction must be completed within one year of permit issuance. We're Ameren-certified and handle the full permit application — site sketch, dimensioned plans, cove study where required, and the permit fee.
What to Expect: Timeline and Cost
A residential 2-well dock with basic flotation typically runs $25,000 to $50,000. A 4-well dock with a sundeck, covered roof, and integrated lifts can run $75,000 to $150,000-plus. Permit lead time with Ameren is typically 4 to 8 weeks; build time is another 4 to 10 weeks depending on complexity. We give you a written timeline and itemized quote during your free site visit.
