Seawall Construction at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri
New seawall construction at Lake of the Ozarks. Steel seawalls, concrete block seawalls, and natural outcropping walls engineered for the lake's annual water level fluctuations and wave exposure.
New Seawall Construction at Lake of the Ozarks
New seawalls at LOTO are most often steel sheet pile, poured concrete, concrete block, or natural outcropping walls. Each has tradeoffs in cost, lifespan, and aesthetics, and the right choice depends on your shoreline geometry, wave exposure, and budget. We engineer and install all four types.
Steel and concrete walls give the cleanest waterline and the longest expected service life. Outcropping walls — large limestone blocks placed to hold the bank — fit the natural look of the lake and are often more economical. Most new walls are paired with rip rap at the base to dissipate wave energy and protect the footing.
Ameren Permitting for New Walls
All shoreline work at Lake of the Ozarks requires an Ameren Missouri permit. The permit application includes the wall design, cove geometry, and a stabilization plan that covers any rip rap installed at the base. We handle the full process — site sketch, plans, application, and the permit fee — as part of every new wall project.
