Dock & Marine Services on the Main Channel
The main channel runs 92 miles from Bagnell Dam (MM 0) to the upper lake near Truman Dam. Created by damming the Osage River, it's the primary navigation corridor and the busiest water on the lake. Heavy boat traffic from large cruisers creates constant 5-8 foot waves on summer weekends, driving the highest demand for heavy-duty dock construction, breakwaters, and rip rap. Docks on the main channel are built 5x heavier than 15 years ago to withstand wake damage.
